Debbie Goodwin, artistic director of "Los Tangueros" dance company, presents ¡TANGO! RHYTHMS OF THE HEART at the 24th Street Theatre on October 3, 4 and 5, 2002. Desire, rejection, separation and romance come alive in dance and music as "Los Tangueros" Dance Company and orchestra "Tango No. 9" perform in ¡TANGO! RHYTHMS OF THE HEART. Choreography set in the authentic style of Argentine Tango and embellished with theatrical imagery portrays the emotional palpitations and synchronicities of real couples. Born of themes of seduction, loss and surrender, Argentine Tango is truly the dance of the heart. Tango and Jazz enthusiasts will revel in the concert and dance rhythms of "Tango No. 9", a favorite Tango orchestra from the San Francisco Bay Area. Debbie Goodwin, artistic director of the show, directed and produced last year's ¡TANGO! A Story of Sacramento's Argentine Tango Community", which played to sold out audiences at CSUS Dancespace. Those who were turned away last year have a second chance to experience Goodwin's work in this entirely new production.
